State men: Black scores 17, helps Morgan defeat S.C. State, halt slide

Junior swingman Justin Black bounced back from a poor performance and sophomore forward Shaquille Duncan had a solid game off the bench, leading Morgan State to a 76-60 victory over South Carolina State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game Saturday night at Hill Field House. Black, who was held to 11 points on 5-for-19 shooting against Saint Joseph's, had a team-high 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Junior center Ian Chiles had 14 points and eight rebounds, while Duncan had 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots for Morgan State (4-8, 1-0 MEAC), which ended a five-game losing streak.
