After making its second trip to the NCAA tournament in four seasons, the Mount St. Mary's men's basketball team is losing its top scorer.
Sophomore guard Elijah Long announced in a social media post Thursday that he has been granted his official release from the program and is looking to transfer.
"[I] appreciate Mount St. Mary's University taking me in and giving me a chance to continue my basketball career at a competitive level," he wrote. "With that being said, I've decided to take my talents somewhere else and continue my career elsewhere."
