State lacrosse roundup: Wisnauskas leads Maryland past Rutgers, 12-9, in Big Ten men's semifinal

Redshirt freshman Logan Wisnauskas (Boys’ Latin) had two goals and three assists and No. 2 Maryland men’s lacrosse won, 12-9, over No. 11 Rutgers in a Big Ten semifinal Thursday in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Wisnauskas has 31 goals this season, the most for a Maryland freshman since Joe Walters had 33 in 2003. Dan Morris made seven of his 12 saves in the second half for the Terps (12-2).

Maryland advances to Saturday’s league championship at 7 p.m. and will face No. 7 Johns Hopkins. The Scarlet Knights fell to 9-6.
