Denzel Richardson made a 3-pointer as time ran out to give Eastern Kentucky a 66-63 victory over host Coppin State on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles (1-13), who have lost nine in a row, tied the score on guard Dallas Gary's three-point play with 26 seconds remaining, but Richardson answered with his game-winning shot. The guard finished with just five points, but the last three made the difference.
Guard Corey Walden had the assist on the winning play. He also finished with a game-high 33 points, making 13 of 16 shots from the field, including three of four 3-pointers.
