Mike Morsell scored 21 points and host Towson used a 32-2 run at the end of the first half to pull away from Stony Brook, 88-63, in men's basketball Friday in the Barclays Center Classic.
The Tigers trailed 26-18, then took control of the game. Towson held the Seawolves without a field goal for the final 9:45 of the first half and led 50-28 at the break. Stony Brook turned the ball over six times during the run.
Morsell scored 17 points in the half, Deshaun Morman had 11 points and the Tigers shot 66.7 percent from the field (18-for-27) to the Seawolves' 28.6 percent (8-for-28).
Stony Brook finished shooting 30.5 percent from the field.
