Aaron Martens, an Alabaman who entered the Huk Performance Fishing Bassmaster Elite at Chesapeake Bay with an 11-point lead in the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year standings, caught 17 pounds, 8 ounces of bass Thursday and took the Day 1 lead in waters off North East in Cecil County.
