Drexel took a two-goal lead with 4 minutes, 10 seconds left and held off a rally to upset No. 16 Towson, 11-10, on Saturday in men's lacrosse.
The host Tigers (9-5, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 7-2 at halftime and rallied in the second half to take an 8-7 lead with 11:45 left in the third quarter.
There were two ties and two lead changes in the fourth quarter. Ryan Belka scored to give the Dragons (7-7, 3-2) an 11-9 lead. Justin Mabus brought Towson within one with 2:21 left.
The result sets up a rematch between the No. 3 seed Tigers and the No. 2 seed Dragons in the league tournament semifinals at Fairfield on Thursday at 4 p.m.
