Women's lacrosse roundup: Griffin, Cummings lead No. 2 Terps over Boston U., 18-8

Host Maryland built an eight-goal lead in the first half and beat Boston University, 18-8, Wednesday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. The second-ranked Terps (3-0) were paced in scoring by Brooke Griffin (South River) and Taylor Cummings (McDonogh), who each scored four goals. It was a breakout performance for Griffin, who posted three points in two previous games, while Cummings had her third consecutive four-goal showing to begin the season.
