Cole Williams ( Loyola Blakefield) scored four goals and No. 17 Johns Hopkins stunned No. 6 Syracuse , 18-7, in men's lacrosse Saturday.
The visiting Blue Jays (3-2) jumped to a 3-0 lead and when the Orange (3-2) cut the lead to, 3-2, Hopkins went on a 5-0 run.
Eighteen goals are the most the Blue Jays have scored against Syracuse since winning 19-8 in the 2003 NCAA Division I semifinals and tied for the most scored at the Carrier Dome in 1991.
Hopkins had three players with three goals each: Alex Concannon, Kyle Marr and Connor DeSimone.
