The Loyola Maryland women's lacrosse team fell to Duke, 14-8, in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday night.
Senior Maddy Blakeman, junior Cami Whiteford (Severn) and redshirt freshman Sabrina Tabasso led the Greyhounds (14-6) with two goals each, while sophomore Hannah Savage and freshman Hannah Powers added one goal and one assist each.
For Duke (11-8), Kyra Harney led all players with four goals and five points, while Olivia Jenner won 10 draw controls.
Whiteford scored the game's first two goals, but the Blue Devils responded with a five-goal run to turn their deficit into a 5-2 advantage with 15:08 to play in the opening half.
