Byron Hawkins had 24 points and the Towson men's basketball team (2-3) held off a late charge by Bradley (1-4) to win, 62-60, and take seventh place at the Charleston Classic in South Carolina.
Towson led by 16 in the second half before Bradley rallied to cut the lead to 53-51. But John Davis (14 points) hit a jumper, the Braves missed five of their next six shots, and Hawkins scored the final seven points as Towson avoided going 0-3 this weekend.
Hawkins closed the tournament with another strong performance. The sophomore had a career-high 28 points in Friday's 76-60 loss to Mississippi.
