Phillip Carr scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds and Morgan State cruised to an 88-73 win over Division II Wilmington on Thursday night.
It was the first win for the host Bears, who had lost their first two games of the season.
Carr finished an efficient 8-for-11 from the field. David Syfax also finished with 21 points for the Bears, who shot 50.8 percent from the field while limiting Wilmington to 35.6 percent.
Tiwian Kendley added 19 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists for Morgan State.
Tyaire Ponzo-Meek led all scorers with 23 points for Wilmington to go along with six rebounds. Nick Richards added 15 points for Wilmington.
