Dulaney alum Busko wins age group in Ironman Mont-Tremblant

Billy Busko, a 1982 graduate of Dulaney who was raised in Towson and lives in New York, won the 50-54 age group at the Ironman Mont-Tremblant on Sunday in Quebec and qualified for the seventh straight year for the Ironman World Championships. Busko, 51, finished the Quebec race, based in the Laurentian mountains, in 9 hours, 56 minutes, 57 seconds, beating the second-place finisher by 12 minutes in a field of 237 in his age group. He was 74th overall out of 2,352 athletes, including pros and amateurs. The age-group victory was Busko's second in an Ironman; he also won Ironman Canada in 2011 in Penticton, British Columbia. The world championships will be Oct. 10 in Kona Hawaii. ...
