Highland/Fulton: Troop 2527 members assist House of Ruth to help earn Silver Award

Julianne Knoblett, a student at Lime Kiln Middle School and a member of Girl Scout Troop 2527, is working, along with her troop, on earning their Silver Award. Their goal: to assist the House of Ruth and raise awareness about its contributions to help abused women and children. Her troop has organized a blanket-making workshop in the pavilion at Schooley Mill Park Feb. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. The park is located on the big bend on Hall Shop Road, between routes 108 and 216. Participants will make a blanket, which will then be donated to the House of Ruth. A snack and a "fun patch" will be provided to each participant.
