For the 23rd consecutive year, the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship is coming to Maryland, an ideal situation for both riders and fans.
The fourth race of the professional motocross league's season is set for Saturday at Budds Creek MX Park in Mechanicsville a town in St. Mary's County southeast of Washington. Budds Creek has been one of the most popular courses on the 12-stop tour since the first AMA Championship tour race there in 1989.
The course's hilly and difficult terrain, which is full of elevation changes and big jumps, gives fans good vantage points from nearly anywhere around the track and provides plenty of challenges for riders.
