Johns Hopkins, ranked No. 8 in Division III football, scored 35 points in a span of just under 15 minutes between the second and third quarters to turn a tight game into a 45-10 victory at Dickinson on Friday night.
The victory improved the Blue Jays' record to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the Centennial Conference; the Red Devils fell to 0-6 and 0-5. Hopkins tied the conference record for consecutive league wins with its 33rd, dating to the final game of the 2012 season.
Western Maryland (now McDaniel) set the original record from 1997 to 2001, when the Blue Jays ended the Green Terror's run with a 21-14 victory.
