Oliver Purnell, ex-DePaul coach, sells mansion at a loss

Oliver Purnell, the former DePaul University men's basketball coach, on Tuesday sold his 12-room, 7,300-square-foot brick and stone mansion in Lincoln Park for $2.575 million. Purnell, 62, coached DePaul from 2010 until earlier this year, when he resigned after five seasons, going 54-105 and failing to reach the NCAA tournament in any of those seasons. Purnell purchased the mansion for $3.075 million in 2010.
