Former Maryland center Diamond Stone signs with Chicago Bulls

The search for a permanent NBA home continues for former Maryland center Diamond Stone.

Stone, who came to College Park being mentioned as a potential lottery pick and left after his freshman year as a second-round selection, has signed with the Chicago Bulls, the team reported on its website Thursday.

Stone signed a two-year contract. A report said he received a partial guarantee of $50,000, and would likely be assigned to Chicago’s G-League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls.
