Zach Collins has only been to Chicago once before.
It was December 2013 — "cold, just really, really freezing" — and his school, Las Vegas's Bishop Gorman, was set to play Cliff Alexander and Curie in the Chicago Elite Classic. Collins, a sophomore at the time, faded into the background. Teammates Stephen Zimmerman (UNLV), Chase Jeter (Duke) and Alexander were the headliners.
Two years later, Collins will grab a sliver of the Chicago spotlight. The 7-foot Gonzaga commit will play for the West team in the McDonald's All-American game Wednesday at the United Center.
