SOUTH BEND, Ind. — After Notre Dame missed the NCAA tournament last season for the first time since 2009, coach Mike Brey isn't looking past any part of his schedule.
During his media day news conference Wednesday, a reporter asked Brey if he was excited about a matchup against Michigan State, scheduled for Dec. 3.
"When you're coming off a year like us, the exhibition has my attention," Brey said.
Brey said he feels like he just arrived on campus again after the Irish's underwhelming debut season in the ACC. With guard Jerian Grant back from an academic suspension, the Irish are out to establish their identity in the conference.
