A person familiar with the negotiations tells The Associated Press that guard Malcolm Delaney, a Baltimore native and a Euroleague star, has agreed to a two-year contract offer from the Atlanta Hawks.
The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Sunday because no NBA deal can be finalized before Thursday. The deal is guaranteed.
The 6-foot-3 Delaney starred at the now-defunct Towson Catholic and was The Baltimore Sun Boys Basketball Player of the Year in 2007.
