Billy Donovan is one of the most successful young college basketball coaches in the country. Now in his 12th year at the University of Florida, Donovan has already led the Gators to three Southeastern Conference tournament championship and a two NCAA tournament championships. The 2006 and 2007 NCAA victories made Florida the seventh school to win back-to-back Division I basketball national titles.

Billy Donovan is one of the most successful young college basketball coaches in the country. Donovan's head coaching career began in 1994 at Marshall University, where he led the Thundering Herd for two seasons before coming to UF in 1996. He learned the coaching trade as an assistant coach at Kentucky under head coach Rick Pitino. Pitino also coached Donovan the player at Providence, and together they took the Friars to the 1987 Final Four. The accomplishments made Donovan the fifth player to reach the Final Four as a player and head coach and just the second to do it as an assistant coach as well.
