San Antonio shows championship mettle in second half

SAN ANTONIO A great start for the Milwaukee Bucks fizzled under renewed intensity from the defending league champion San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs turned up their effort in the second half and rallied for a 101-95 victory over the Bucks on Sunday evening at the AT&T Center. Milwaukee (22-22) trailed by seven points late in the game but closed within two on a dunk by Khris Middleton with 1 minute 23 seconds left.
