Orioles outfielder Mark Trumbo, who was selected to play in the All-Star Game for the second time in his career, said he would be interested in participating in the annual Home Run Derby.
Trumbo is tied for the major league lead with an AL best 24 homers this season, his first with the Orioles.
Trumbo said he hasn’t been asked about participating in the derby. Under the current format, one player in each league is designated as a captain and he chooses the participants.
