It only took two weeks and 15 exhibition games, but the Orioles finally erupted at the plate Monday afternoon in a homer-happy 16-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies before a sellout crowd of 8,047 at Bright House Field.

First baseman Chris Davis ignited the 21-hit offensive extravaganza with a three-run opposite field homer off Phillies ace Cole Hamels in the first inning. The Orioles went on to score in each of the first five innings to snap a five-game Grapefruit League losing streak.
