Former Towson baseball player Richard Palacios hasn’t slowed down. Nothing less could be expected from the quick-footed shortstop with a slew of stolen base records.
After becoming the highest-drafted position player in Tigers baseball history when the Cleveland Indians selected him in the third round of the MLB draft in June, Palacios has earned a step up from Short-A Mahoning Valley to Low-A Lake County.
The former Towson standout had a 17-game hitting streak in the New York-Penn League, which was broken in his debut game with Lake County after he went hitless in four at-bats.
