1. Uehara left stranded in Orioles' loss to Boston

When Koji Uehara walked off the mound after becoming the first Orioles starter this season to get through the seventh inning, Dave Trembley waited at the top step of the dugout and gave him a hug.

3. Guthrie, Orioles squander 7-0 lead in loss to Red Sox

The Orioles learned long ago that no lead is safe against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, but they had plenty to feel good about after the top of the second inning Friday night. They had a seven-run advantage and their ace, Jeremy Guthrie, on the mound.

7. Now Orioles have to turn around Interleague record

O, by the Way
It's hard to convince fans that any loss is less painful than another but from my perspective the kind of defeat the Orioles suffered in Boston last night, a 9-2 drubbing, really is a lot easier to digest. It was......

11. This week in fantasy baseball

Depending on what you read and who you listen to, the Orioles either will or will not acquire pitcher A.J. Burnett from the Marlins, and the trade will happen very soon, next week or not at all. It's more or less a done deal, or it's unraveling as we...

15. Guillen could be Marlins' fall guy

Ozzie Guillen is getting what he asked for when he left one of the most loyal owners in sports to work for one of the quirkiest. His job is in jeopardy only one season into a four-year deal, and few will be sad if he is swept out alongside longtime player personnel guy Larry Beinfest as the Marlins limp away from a horrific first season in their new art deco home.

17. Whispers: Greenberg farce affected strikeout race

Tom Ricketts got it done. He got Theo Epstein to the Cubs. It always seemed like it would happen. The Cubs agreed to pay him $18.5 million, after all. It also seemed like it would never happen. The more stories that come out of Fenway, the more it seems...
