Dolphins cut backup quarterback Josh Freeman

The Josh Freeman Experiment didn't even make it to training camp. The Dolphins cut the veteran Friday, the strongest indication yet that they plan to carry just two quarterbacks on their active roster. Freeman, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, signed with the team in April after spending the 2014 regular season out of football. He was uneven in minicamp and the organized team activities open to the media, and never really put any pressure on Dolphins backup Matt Moore.
