Orioles farmhand Chris Jones has been named International League Pitcher of the Week, the second time he received the honor this season.
Jones, a 26-year-old lefty, won both of his starts for Triple-A Norfolk this past week, allowing just two runs in 15 innings. That includes eight shutout innings against Louisville on Saturday.
In 26 games (18 starts) for the Tides, Jones is 8-6 with a 2.86 ERA, fifth best in the league.
Jones was acquired in 2013 when the Orioles sent reliever Luis Ayala to the Atlanta Braves. He has yet to make the majors.
