Orioles manager Buck Showalter said that Jimmy Paredes, who made his first rehabilitation appearance Tuesday for Double-A Bowie, performed well despite an 0-for-3 night and a fielding error that led to an unearned run.
"He's doing good, though," Showalter said. "Jimmy's running a lot better. We'll see what happens when he's ready."
Paredes was the starting designated hitter for Bowie on Wednesday. He will play for High-A Frederick on Bowie's day off Thursday and then return to Bowie. Paredes' rehab assignment can last 20 days, but he might not need that much time.
