Orioles left-hander Zach Britton slogged through another sloppy, shaky first inning Thursday night in which an early exit again loomed menacingly. Give the rookie a smidgen of credit, though, since he survived the first and then battled until the sixth in the Orioles' 9-4 loss to the Kansas City Royals.
