Saturday morning Orioles observations on the rotation, J.J. Hardy and Henry Urrutia

ARLINGTON, Texas – Everyone who follows the Orioles knows that this team will go as far as its pitching takes it. And don’t look now, but the starting rotation is beginning to put together a nice resume. Wei-Yin Chen’s outing in Friday’s 3-1 win over Texas was the Orioles’ fifth quality start in their past six games. They’ve won all five of those games and have allowed just one run in three of them. It’s obviously a small sample size, but it shows that the rotation is starting to come around. As expected Chen – who has allowed one run or less in each of his past three outings and five of his past seven – will stabilize the rotation....
