Gordon Beckham has been playing really good baseball. His defense always has been a given, but now his offense is becoming solid. The trade last summer seemed to be a wake-up call. With Micah Johnson playing poor defensively and Carlos Sanchez playing poor offensively at second base, why not give Beckham a chance to start at second? Gillaspie and Bonifacio could platoon at third (or one could emerge as the starter).
