Over the past two nights, some of the Orioles’ weaknesses have come to light in a pair of losses to the New York Mets at Citi Field.

While the Orioles have been able to persevere through several early-season injuries, the call for reinforcements is being made.

Following the Orioles’ 5-1 loss to the Mets Wednesday, manager Buck Showalter retreated to his office to contact Gold Glove shortstop J.J. Hardy and utility man Ryan Flaherty – both on a minor league rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Bowie – to see if they were ready to join the team Thursday at Yankee Stadium.
