    Blast routs Pennsylvania Roar for MISL regular-season title
    With an 18-2 win Sunday over the host Pennsylvania Roar, the Blast claimed the Major Indoor Soccer League regular-season championship. The win gave the Blast (17-3) the No. 1 seed in the MISL playoffs. The Milwaukee Wave (16-4) lost to the Missouri Comets, 9-4, on Sunday, allowing the Blast to take first place in the league. The Blast's game started slowly, as midfielder Max Ferdinand got the Blast on the board first off an assist from midfielder Drew Yates (Maryland). Ferdinand scored another goal before the end of the first quarter, giving the Blast an early 4-0 lead. Defender Pat Healey scored first in the second quarter, and forward Adriano Dos Santos followed with a goal off an assist from defender Mike Lookingland (Loyola High) to put the Blast up 8-0 at halftime. The second half picked up for the Blast when forward Aduato Neto assisted defender Lucio Gonzaga for the team's fifth goal of the night. Chris Williams After the Roar (1-19) scored midway through the third quarter, midfielder Tony Donatelli quickly answered for the Blast with a goal of his own. Ferdinand assisted Neto with 2:57 left in the quarter, and forward Diego Zuniga scored to cap the Blast's 10-point quarter. William Vanzela The Blast, which won the league title last season, will face the Syracuse Silver Knights in the MISL semifinals beginning Friday night.
