The Aberdeen IronBirds made it to the off day for the Major League All-Star Game with a 12-11 record after beating the first place Cyclones, 2-0, in Brooklyn Monday. It was the second straight victory for the IronBirds, who return to Ripken Stadium Wednesday night to host Hudson Valley in a three game series. By taking two out of three in Brooklyn, Aberdeen closed the gap behind the division leading Cyclones to just three games.
