The Aberdeen IronBirds were in the win column again Thursday night, notching a fourth consecutive New York-Penn League win.
The Birds' (32-23) blanked the homestanding Brooklyn Cyclones, 5-0, behind the solid pitching of starter Michael Baumann and reliever Nick Vespi.
Baumann (2-1) pitched the first five innings for the win. allowing two hits and a walk, while striking out seven.
Vespi, who was credited with his second save, was even more dominant over four innings. Vespi also gave up a pair of hits and a walk, while fanning eight.
