No. 5 Wisconsin defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard, a former Ravens safety, was named one of four finalists on Monday for the Broyles Award, given annually to the top assistant coach in college football. The Badgers defense under Leonhard, who was a three-time All-America selection at safety at Wisconsin, gives up 237 yards per game, the lowest among major schools. No. 3 Clemson co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliot, No. 4 Oklahoma offensive coordinator Bill Bedenbaugh and No. 6 Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele are the other three candidates. The winner will be announced next Tuesday.
