The Orioles made a minor league trade on Friday night, acquiring left-hander Daniel Rodriguez from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash, the club announced. Rodriguez will report to minor league spring training at Twin Lakes Park. The 30-year-old has never pitched in the majors. He was 5-16 with a 5.04 ERA with the Braves’ Triple-A team in Lawrenceville, Ga., in 29 games (21 starts) over 125 innings. But the Orioles have been interested in Rodriguez for a few years, trying to sign him out of the Mexican League before the 2013 season after Rodriguez posted an 11-5 record and 2.54 ERA with Saltillo.
