    SS Adeiny Hechavarria, 25, has earned a reputation as one of the slickest-fielding shortstops in baseball. The old adage is that you have to be strong up the middle -- and the Marlins are halfway there with Hechavarria at short and Macell Ozuna in center. "Hech" made 14 errors this year for a .978 fielding percentage, three points higher than the league average. His range factor of .446 is also better than the league average of .431. Offensively, he had the best season of his three-year MLB career, posting 20 doubles, 10 triples, a .276 batting average, a .340 on-base percentage and a .664 OPS. All those are career highs. Getting more walks and stealing more bases (he was 7-for-12) are areas of potential growth, but Hechavarria is a definite keeper.
