Triple-A right-hander Zach Davies allowed one run into the fourth inning and the Orioles had a four-run third but ultimately tied the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-6, at Charlotte Sports Park. The Orioles led 6-3 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth when Joey Butler hit a three-run homer against Orioles lefty Wesley Wright. Neither team scored in the 10th and the game ended in a tie – the Orioles' first of the Grapefruit League season.
