Considering all he had to do Monday was complete the first inning to improve on last week's nightmarish Miami Marlins' debut, Mat Latos had a successful re-match against the Braves at Turner Field. He retired the side in order in the first and with those three outs shaved more than 56 points off his ERA, which at the start of the game sat at 94.50. While Latos' ERA may be less bloated, the Marlins' loss total continued to swell after the 3-2 loss. Like their first home game (delayed 16 minutes due to rain), the Marlins' first road game also was a soggy one.
