Terdema L. Ussery II, a longtime top executive of the Dallas Mavericks, is joining Under Armour as president of global sports categories, according to the company and the NBA team.
Ussery, the team's president and CEO, had been with the Mavericks for 18 years, arriving before the club was purchased by current owner Mark Cuban.
In Dallas, Ussery oversaw the campaign that led to the construction of American Airlines Center and its naming rights partnership. Before that, Ussery was president of Nike Sports Management, where he handled athletes' marketing for Under Armour's rival.
