In the nightcap of Monday's pool play action at the 2011 Cal Ripken World Series in Aberdeen, the Mexican squad picked up its third victory of the tournament, dropping previously undefeated Dominican Republic, 4-0, at Cal Sr.'s Yard. The Mexican team was helped the slick pitching of starter Gerardo Duarte, who tossed a complete game two-hit shutout, allowing just five hitters to reach base.
