Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson wasn’t about to let an ACC championship and a possible berth in the College Football Playoff slip through the Tigers’ fingers.
Watson accounted for five touchdowns as No. 3 Clemson (12-1, 8-1 ACC) captured back-to-back conference titles for the first time in 28 years by defeating No. 23 Virginia Tech (9-4, 6-3) 42-35 at Camping World Stadium Saturday evening.
