Summer officially began with the summer solstice today (Friday) at 2:46 a.m. in Havre de Grace (and all along the East Coast, USA, of course). Visit Susquehanna State Park or the North Park – Joe K. Trail for a little of William Shakespeare's "Midsummer's Night Dream" madness!
Aha, June 23 is Let It Go Day. Let's celebrate by going to this evening's free concert in Tydings Park at 7:30 p.m. Bring chairs and picnics. There is no rain location for the Gloucester City String Band, a mixture of mummers music and other selections by this 30 piece group. Next up is the Larry Brown Quintet, June 28.
