An often-quoted myth claims that cats have nine lives, but a proposed ordinance in Lake County could give felines more than one. County Commissioner Leslie Campione introduced a measure last week that would permit the Lake County Sheriff's Office Animal Services to roll out a "trap-neuter-release" program, which could spare hundreds of strays the death sentence they often face after 24 hours in the county's care.
