Panthers trade RB Barner to Eagles

The Carolina Panthers traded running back Kenjon Barner to the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional seventh-round draft choice in 2015, the Panthers announced Tuesday.

Barner, who was taken in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, will be reunited with Chip Kelly, who was Barner's college coach at Oregon and is now the Eagles head coach.

Barner played in eight games last season as a rookie, gaining seven yards on six carries and catching two passes for seven yards.
