FXX intends to keep Tracy Morgan's new comedy in its pipeline of projects.
FXX ordered 10 episodes of "The Untitled Tracy Morgan Project" in April, and the program was set to go into production in August. But a recent highway accident involving the comedian and former cast member of "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" appears to have sidelined him for weeks to come. A recent statement from Morgan's representatives said his recovery would be "arduous."
The show had been slated to debut on FXX in January.
The series is created by Rob McElhenney, who joins Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton and Luvh Rakhe as executive producer and showrunner. Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Nick Frenkel are executive producers. The series is produced by FX Productions.
