Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Roy Lee are steering the franchise, with Jill Wilfert from the Lego Company exec producing.

McKay, who is repped by UTA and Mosaic, was animation co-director on the first "Lego Movie" and has also worked on TV programs like Cartoon Network's "Robot Chicken" and "Titan Maximum" for Adult Swim. Deadline Hollywood first reported the news.
