Fans of the FX animated comedy "Archer" will be able to stay in the "Danger Zone," at least through 2016.
Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, presidents of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions, announced Thursday that FX has ordered 13 episodes for both the sixth and seventh seasons of the Emmy and Annie Award nominated series.
"Archer," with the finale slated to air April 21 at 10 p.m.
The series, produced by FX Productions and created by Adam Reed and Floyd County Productions, is exec produced Reed and Matthew Thompson.
The half-hour laffer, which revolves around the employees of the International Secret Intelligence spy agency, currently ranks as the second highest-rated comedy in basic cable in delivery of adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. H. Jon Benjamin provides the voice of master spy Sterling Archer and the ensemble voice cast also includes Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer, Amber Nash, Reed and Lucky Yates.
The additional season orders are unrelated to Floyd County Productions existing overall deal with FX Productions.
