HONG KONG - Gay drama "Love Is Strange," starring John Lithgow and Ira Sachs, will play new dates in Europe.

Following its appearance at Berlin's European Film Market, the pic was licensed to Spain's Golem Distribucion, Italy's Koch Media, Portugal's Midas Film, Switzerland's Xenix Filmdistribution, Turkey's Kurmaca, Bulgaria's Bulgaria Film Vision, Israel's Forum Film and to MegaCom Film for the former-Yugoslavia including Slovenia by sales agent Fortissimo Films.

On the strength of the film's Sundance outing it was previously sold to the U.K.'s Altitude Films, France's Pretty Pictures, Brazil's Alpha Filmes, Greece's Faliro House and to Wild Bunch for Benelux, to Rialto Distribution for Australia and New Zealand; to HBO Central Europe (pay-TV rights) and to Cinesky for global airline rights.

Basketball documentary "Linsanity" will bounce into further territories following Fortissimo sales to Australia's Umbrella Entertainment, Canada's Kinosmith, Spain's Sogecine - Canal+, and Sweden's UR. Pay-TV sales were completed in Latin America with HBO Latin America Media Services and airline rights with CineSky Pictures.

Ritchie Mehta's "Siddharth," which premiered in Toronto was picked up for distribution in the U.S. by Zeitgeist Films, in France by ASC Distribution, in Germany by Koch Media, in Australia and New Zealand by Pinnacle Films, in Hong Kong by Edko Films, in Switzerland by Praesens Film, in former Yugoslavia by Discovery Film and Distribution, in Israel by Orlando Films, in Iran by IRIB, for Latin American pay-TV by HBO Latin America, for Eastern European pay-TV by HBO Central Europe.

Fortissimo also sold South African thriller "iNumber Number" to France's Zylo, Germany's Pandastorm, Japan's KlockWorx and Iran's IRIB.
